Job Summary:

We are recruiting an HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in Durham. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to both plant, equipment, and building services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and Manage Risks: Identify and manage the risks to the client through the equipment on site, including identifying critical spares, improving performance of plant and equipment, managing the environment conditions on site through the BMS system, and running all plant and equipment efficiently.
  2. Fault Finding: Fault find on all types of HVAC plant and equipment with a bias to the maintenance of Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems.
  3. Electrical and Mechanical Expertise: Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
  4. Risk Assessments: Write and follow risk assessments and be available to question any issues which arise from them safely and accurately.
  5. Mobile Device Use: Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete any works from the CAFM maintenance system.
  6. Liaison with Onsite Supervisor and Account Manager: Liaise with onsite supervisor and account manager to manage any building services related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required.
  7. Team Leadership: Be the responsible person when required for the team and deputise for the site supervisor during annual leave or sickness where required.
  8. Overtime and Emergency Call Outs: Work overtime as and when the business requires, including nights and weekends, and participate on an on-call rota for emergency call out purposes out of normal working hours.
  9. Sub-Contractor Supervision: Supervise sub-contractors.
  10. Strong Proven Experience: Strong proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
  11. Mechanical Competences: Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical.
  12. Multi-Skilled Ability: Good multi-skilled ability.
  13. Ability to Supervise Contractors: Ability to supervise contractors.
  14. IPAF / PASMA: IPAF / PASMA.
  15. HVAC Controls: HVAC controls.
