As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to our goal by performing design work on customer and development projects. You will attend specification meetings with global customers and provide authoritative contributions regarding the mechanical design aspects of projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies for packaging machinery.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and company standards.
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including parts lists, assembly drawings, and detail drawings.
  4. Conduct risk assessments on machinery and assemblies to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  5. Advise on mechanical health and safety aspects of the product range.
  6. Participate in project meetings and update project managers on engineering progress.
  7. Liaise with all departments to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Advanced 3D modeling skills (Solid Works) and sheet metal experience is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable skill in design for manufacture and assembly meeting cost targets.
  • Experience of interactions and interfaces with electrical engineering.
  • Confident to take the technical lead in a team on occasional larger projects.
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Integrated) and minimum 5-10 years' experience in a Design/Development Engineering role.
