Steelwork Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled Steelwork Technician to join our team at ASF Engineering Ltd in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will have a strong background in steelwork, with experience working with steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.

The Steelwork Technician will be responsible for fabricating street furniture products, gates, handrails, and general steelwork. This role involves working in a modern workshop environment with high-spec machine tools and occasional site work. Full training will be provided to ensure the candidate has the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication of steel street furniture products, gates, and handrails
• General steelwork
• MIG and TIG welding
• Sawing, punching, shearing, drilling, and folding

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in steelwork
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding
• Able to work from drawings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High standard of workmanship
