About the Job:
As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and visitors. You will provide guidance and technical support to the production management and supervisory teams, conducting new employee, contractor, and visitor inductions, responding to fire alarm activations, and coordinating emergency response on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical support to production management and supervisory teams.
  2. Conduct inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
  3. Respond to fire alarm activations and coordinate emergency response.
  4. Deputise for the Head of Health and Safety during leave or absence.
  5. Execute planned and breakdown maintenance on mobile equipment and overhead cranes.

Requirements:
  1. A confident individual able to develop relationships and influence factory floor managers, supervisors, and employees.
  2. Previous factory floor experience in a similar role in the Heavy Engineering sector is desirable.
  3. Experience of construction projects and managing construction contractors would be advantageous.
  4. Detailed understanding and experience of CDM 2015 is required.
  5. An adult teaching qualification such as PTTLLS is desirable.
  6. Excellent IT skills including MS Office.

Salary: £40,500 per annum.
