Real Estate Finance and Global Loans Associate Role

We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Real Estate Finance and Global Loans Associate to join our Real Estate Practice Group within our Finance Department in London on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that advises the world's leading investment banks, specialist lenders, corporates and sponsors on their most crucial and high-profile transactions.

About the Department

Our Real Estate Finance and Global Loans team is recognised in the market as a leading finance practice, offering exceptional market knowledge and unparalleled transactional expertise. We advise on a diverse range of real estate finance transactions globally, including senior debt, mezzanine finance, A/B structures, loan-on-loan and other back leverage structures. We have an unrivalled reputation for delivering innovative solutions and offering our clients expert advice on complex real estate finance transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic advice to clients on real estate finance transactions, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
  3. Manage multiple transactions simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting client expectations
  4. Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop business development plans and implement strategies to drive growth and revenue
  5. Conduct legal research and provide advice on complex real estate finance transactions
  6. Supervise junior team members and manage other transaction parties, including specialist and local teams

Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with strong technical knowledge of the legal framework surrounding real estate finance transactions and global loans
  • Intellectual curiosity and versatility, with the ability to continuously acquire and build upon knowledge
  • Self-motivated approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting client expectations
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and transactions
  • Excellent client relationship skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen, with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice
