Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our development team at a leading provider of retail software solutions. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in software programming, with a strong background in.NET /.NET Core using C#.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle multiple sprint priorities across smaller projects, ensuring all tasks are completed to the defined acceptance criteria and meeting estimated timelines.
  • Take ownership of your own and your team's project delivery based on assigned estimates, following established development standards and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile environment within a cross-functional team and a matrixed organization, meeting sprint deadlines and milestone goals.
  • Perform unit testing on developed code, participate in and contribute to code reviews, and collaborate on system design and planning during team meetings.
  • Regularly update progress on tasks using burn-down charts to track workload, proactively escalating issues and exceptions, and proposing solutions and alternatives where possible.
Requirements
  • Experience in software programming, with proficiency in.NET /.NET Core using C#.
  • Familiarity with RDMS, SQL databases, or other modern database technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with knowledge of industry-standard software development tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Willingness to learn or experience with distributed systems, particularly microservices, and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Awareness of QA and QC processes in software development, with experience in ASP.NET, AngularJS, Blazor, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Web API a plus.
