Support Assistant

We are seeking a caring and reliable support assistant to join our client’s support package in the Worcester area. Our client is a 45-year-old gentleman who has memory problems and epilepsy resulting from a brain injury. He is seeking a proactive support worker to enable him to be more independent and achieve his potential.
This role involves supporting our client with everyday tasks, including attending appointments and shopping trips, general help around the home, and helping him to keep his diary up-to-date. You will also help to order and organise his medication. No personal care is involved in this role, and drivers are not essential, although our client has a motability vehicle that you will use.

Requirements:
- A good level of education is needed
- Good communication skills
- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- Prepared to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client’s needs
- Respect Company policies and procedures
- Be reliable, non-judgemental, caring, responsible, and compassionate
- Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect
