Encompass is seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to join our team as an Evening Support Assistant. This role involves providing personalized care to an older lady in Hawick, ensuring her home is secure and comfortable.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Alzheimer's care or a personal understanding of supporting individuals with dementia. They should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and form strong bonds with clients and their pets.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.50 for this position. The successful candidate will be available to work Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings between 5pm and 6pm, with occasional flexibility to cover holidays, sickness, and days off. We require satisfactory references and a PVG update prior to commencing employment.

This role requires:

  • A caring attitude towards people with Alzheimer's.
  • Previous experience in Alzheimer care or personal insight into supporting individuals with dementia.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • The capacity to form strong bonds with clients and their pets.
