Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, Review, and Negotiate Commercial Contracts: Develop, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and licensing agreements.
  • Contract Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks in contracts and procurement activities, providing advice during negotiations to minimize risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Procurement and Data Protection: Advise and oversee the legal aspects of the firm's procurement processes, ensuring that all contracts comply with relevant data protection legislation and regulations.
  • Internal Stakeholder Engagement: Provide advice, guidance, and training to internal stakeholders and teams on contract management, procurement issues, and legal compliance.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Commercial Law Expertise: Proven experience in commercial law, particularly in procurement, and drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Data Protection Knowledge: A good understanding of applicable data protection legislation.
  • Industry Experience: The successful candidate will have experience working in-house for a law firm or professional services firm or as a fee earner looking to move to an in-house role.
