Involve Recruitment is seeking a Quality Inspector to work with our client, a Wolverhampton-based manufacturing and engineering company, on a full-time and permanent basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on material and component inspections, including goods received inspection, first article, work in progress, and final inspection.
  • Perform roving inspections and create inspection, dimensional, and hardness reports.
  • Maintain gauge calibration and perform internal calibration.
  • Liaise with production, quality, and dispatch departments, as well as customer and supplier inspection departments.
  • Occasionally travel for off-site inspections.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in metrology equipment, including thread gauges, micrometers, caliper gauges, profile projectors, and thread micrometers.
  • Hardness testing and XRF analyzer operation.
  • Surface comparator and plating/coating inspection expertise.
  • Familiarity with certification for metallic materials and sampling plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
