Job Title: Risk Lawyer

Join Taylor Root, a top international law firm in London, as we seek a skilled Risk Lawyer to manage and oversee our commercial contracts with suppliers. This role will work closely with other risk lawyers in the team and report to the Director of Risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, Review, and Negotiate Commercial Contracts: Develop and review a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
  • Contract Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and identify potential risks in contracts and procurement activities.
  • Procurement and Data Protection: Advise and oversee the legal aspects of our procurement processes, and provide guidance on data protection compliance, including responding to data subject requests and dealing with data breaches.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide advice, guidance, and training to internal stakeholders and teams on contract management, procurement issues, and legal compliance.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in commercial law, particularly in procurement, and drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Data Protection: Good understanding of applicable data protection legislation.
  • Background: In-house experience for a law firm or professional services firm, or a fee earner looking to move to an in-house role.
