About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing a daily medicines management service, ensuring that medicines are delivered to the correct resident and providing advice on any drug-related queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medicines and provide advice on medication-related queries
- Assist nursing staff with medication queries and check all prescriptions
- Perform medicines reconciliation for new residents and check medication stock
- Provide problem-solving advice on service provision and medicines management issues
- Enter resident details on computerized record systems and ensure up-to-date drug histories
- Provide advice on compliance and concordance, and medication advice on minor ailments
- Plan medicines management checks for in-possession medication
- Assist in purchasing medicines, equipment, and resources
Requirements
- Active membership of a professional organization
- Good communication skills
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Knowledge of IT systems and experience in a secure setting
- Motivated and able to work independently
