About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Support Worker to join our team in Oban, providing essential person-centred support for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex conditions.

Our Learning Disability Support Services aim to empower individuals to access education and development, live independently, and participate in their communities. We work with adults with autism and behavioural supports, often transitioning from school.

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a multi-trained team that provides support to individuals with complex needs. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to identify and signpost individuals to alternative support networks or community resources.

We value a firm value base and transferrable skills, and experience is not essential. What is important is your passion for support and your ability to work as a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex conditions.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to identify and signpost individuals to alternative support networks or community resources.
  • Supporting individuals to access education and development, live independently, and participate in their communities.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with individuals, families, and community groups.
