Job Title: Mathematics Professor

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Utah State University invites applications for a position as a Mathematics Professor at the Utah State University Eastern campus in Price, Utah. The position is an academic year (nine-month), non-tenure track appointment focused on teaching (90% effort), with the possibility of summer teaching for additional compensation.

The Department has over 50 faculty members, with the majority on the Logan campus and 11 on statewide campuses. This position will be based on the USU Eastern campus, a residential campus of over 1,500 students in Price, Utah. In addition to teaching courses in Price, this position will also serve as a university and department ambassador to students in that campus service region, especially including student engagement and program-specific recruitment activity in the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach mathematics courses at the USU Eastern campus
  • Serve as a university and department ambassador to students in the campus service region
  • Participate in the operation and shared governance of the Department, the USU Eastern campus, and the University
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics/Statistics Education, Statistics, or a closely related discipline
  • At least 18 credit hours of graduate-level mathematics or statistics content
  • A record of effectively teaching college-level mathematics

  • Experience in broadcast or online teaching
