About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Atkore International Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivering our products to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices
  • Analyse supply chain data and solve any issues or put alternative plans in place
  • Identify and minimize risk by predicting demand for products and ensuring no disruption to supply
  • Manage purchasing, production planning, inventory, picking, warehousing, and distribution
  • Monitor and motivate staff
  • Ensure targets are met
  • Build a close relationship with suppliers
  • Ensure awareness of supply chain operations
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years' experience within Supply Chain Management
  • Strong planning skills and project management expertise
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
  • Strategic planning and thinking, systems analysis and evaluation
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions quickly
  • Relationship management skills and active listening
  • Complex problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of various IT systems
  • In-depth understanding of risk management within the supply chain
