About the Role

Baston House School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality education service to our students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and teach physical education lessons to students of varying abilities and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's physical education program, including curriculum design and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, parents, and colleagues as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in physical education and special education, incorporating new ideas and strategies into your teaching practice.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) or similar special needs.
  • Strong knowledge of physical education and special education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
