Drainage Operations LeadWe are currently seeking an experienced and driven Drainage Operations Lead to join our expanding team on a full-time basis.
Position Overview- Job Title: Drainage Operations Lead
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Commission
- OTE: £65,000+
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to a team of drainage engineers.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary actions effectively.
- Lead the recruitment process for new drainage engineers, ensuring we attract top talent.
- Develop and present comprehensive technical and large-scale quotations to clients.
- Offer expert support to engineers on complex projects, occasionally outside of standard working hours.
- Conduct site audits to guarantee quality standards and compliance with regulations.
- Visit sites as needed to provide on-site assessments and guidance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to resolve technical queries efficiently.
- Ensure assigned work is completed on time and within budget, coordinating engineers and ordering necessary parts.
- Conduct site visits to provide detailed quotations to potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and service delivery.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (additional compensation provided).
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing, excavations, drain laying, drain lining, patching, CCTV surveys, and high-pressure water jetting techniques.
- Ability to train and mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the industry.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative approach to work.
- Demonstrated experience in management within the drainage sector.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with individuals at all levels.
- Self-motivated and organized, able to manage workload effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Strong references from previous employers.
