About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Leader to join our team at Jaguar Land Rover. As a key member of our BIW (Body in White) team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team to deliver a high-quality service to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the collation of information for the shifts within the area to ensure continuous communication with area representatives.
  • Lead the development of educational/training plans for maintenance personnel, including delivery of technical, safety, and process training programs.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by the Line Manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
  • Drive the Maintenance Operating System to provide day-to-day supervision to the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within a Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
  • Comply with Health & Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, including identifying safety hazards and risks and ensuring corrective action is implemented and the team receives appropriate training.
  • Support and maintain the shift maintenance engineers and ensure they are within operational constraints to achieve operational targets.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, including knowledge of mechanical/electrical control systems, including PLCs, and body construction joining techniques would be an advantage.
  • Ability to drive the team along the Maintenance Operating System to deliver the best outcome available.
  • Experience of specifying and installing new automation to realise productivity targets.
  • Experience of Environmental controls and practices.
  • Demonstrate experience in the application of a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • A flexible attitude to shift work, overtime, and management requests.
