Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as a Medical Director at one of our specialist mental health services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior clinician to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients, ensuring adherence to GMC standards and professional guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
  • Liaise with the Ministry of Justice for patient transfers and approvals.
  • Supervise reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and managers' hearings.
  • Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management, and clinical governance within the hospital.
Requirements:
  • Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified.
  • Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status.
