Job Title: Adult Safeguarding Manager

About the Role:

Ashberry Recruitment is seeking an experienced Adult Safeguarding Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Manchester residents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery and assurance of statutory duty to safeguard Manchester communities, working closely with Greater Manchester Mental Health services (Gateway and Community mental health teams).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals and groups within the community.
  • Collaborate with partners and key stakeholders to develop and maintain effective partnerships and coordinated working with other services and organizations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and practitioners on all aspects of good service practice.
  • Manage safeguarding risk and quality assurance within the context of an agreed framework, policies, procedures, and statutory responsibilities.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to gather data intelligence to identify care needs and priorities.
  • Proactively identify and support the implementation of change and improvements in service provision.
  • Ensure effective management of assigned budgets in accordance with financial regulations.
  • Personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.

Requirements:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate
  • Ability to work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency setups
  • Flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
