Job Title: Risk & Controls Manager Finance & HR 12 month FTC

The Risk & Controls Manager (Finance & HR) FTC is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of risk management strategies and internal controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating risk and control activities within the Finance and HR departments, ensuring the implementation of optimal risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate risk and control activities within the Finance and HR departments.
  • Develop and implement end-to-end controls frameworks for new processes and systems.
  • Own and manage the Risk and Control Matricies (RACMs) and ensure their continuous improvement.
  • Create and monitor control KPIs to ensure the control environment is effective.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners, Process Teams, and Service Leads to ensure changes to processes do not impact the Controls Framework.
  • Partner with Internal and External Audit to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Review, monitor, and manage second-line of defense assurance activities, including Key People Control self-assessment, Risk Management, IT Risk and Controls, Legal compliance, Fraud, Investigations, and Security.
  • Review, support, and deploy design and operational effectiveness testing of key and non-key controls.
  • Support the documentation and preparation of Governance and Audit Committee reports on control design and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of controls, compliance, and IT audit in an HR environment.
  • Ability to review and re-engineer procedures, formulate policy, process, controls, and compliance to ensure risk mitigation.
  • Providing technical guidance and delivering training to end-users.
  • Data interrogation to identify issues, errors, and fraud.
  • Performing and leading investigations where required and facilitating/implementing key actions.
  • Expert knowledge of good practice payroll and related HR processes in a large, complex organization.
  • Internal controls documentation, implementation, and improvement.
  • IT auditing and Sox Framework.
