Bioinformatics Expert for Precision Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Expert to join our team in the Cambridge area. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing new bioinformatics tools and pipelines to support the development of oral precision microbiome medicines.

Our client is a leading microbiome drug discovery company based in the Cambridge area. We are committed to harnessing the power of precision medicine to develop innovative treatments for a range of diseases.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain advanced computational models and algorithms for analysing large-scale biological datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software systems and databases to support data analysis and storage.
  • Design and deliver training programs to non-technical stakeholders on bioinformatics-related topics.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in bioinformatics and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the company.
Requirements:
  • MSc or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.
Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
