Teaching Chemistry at EF Oxford
EF Education First is seeking a qualified Chemistry teacher to join our team at our Oxford campus. As a Chemistry teacher at EF, you will be responsible for teaching Chemistry C1 and C2 at AS/A-Level (KS3/KS4) for our University Foundation Programme. This is a part-time role, with around six and a half hours of class time per week.
About the Role
EF ILC Oxford, EF UP, and EF Executive School have a vibrant and friendly working environment. Using our own blended learning system, you will have the opportunity to teach students from around the world. We have a strong academic team of senior and new teachers, with a focus on continuous professional development and supporting each other to cater to all our students' needs. You will be teaching EFL, Syllabus-Specific Content for UP, and Tailored Courses at the Executive School.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry C1 and C2 at AS/A-Level (KS3/KS4)
- Deliver lessons to students from around the world using our blended learning system
- Work collaboratively with senior and new teachers to develop teaching skills and knowledge
- Participate in continuous professional development and peer observations
- Assess and provide feedback to students
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject (Master's degree desirable)
- Teaching or tutoring experience in any setting (experience is a bonus, but not essential)
- CERTA (CELTA) qualification (not essential)
- Passionate, professional, dynamic, energetic, enthusiastic, and flexible
- Highly motivated, proactive, and positive, with a keen sense of initiative and ability to take responsibility
- Keen interest in up-to-date teaching methodology and developments, with a strong desire to develop teaching skills and knowledge
- Able to encourage a positive and sharing attitude to both classroom and professional issues
- Sensitive to students' academic and welfare needs
