Key Responsibilities- Provide an exemplary pharmacy service, adhering to current legislation, clinical requirements, and professional standards.
- Offer advice and support to consultants, clinicians, and patients, ensuring safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
- Advise on safe medicine management for the hospital and its departments, maintaining compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
- Promote a patient-focused, multidisciplinary approach to delivering an efficient, high-quality healthcare service.
- Be General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) registered, with no restrictions or conditions.
- Have a minimum of 4 years' post-graduation experience in a hospital environment at ward level.
- Analyse clinical and management problems, developing viable solutions.
- Work as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Challenge consultants to influence evidence-based practice.
- Share evidence-based practices with colleagues to enhance service and standards.
- Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for the service.
- Clinical leadership experience, including developing peers.
- Clinical diploma desirable.
- Supervisory/Management qualification.
- Experience of working in partnership with consultants and across clinical teams.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience of working within an independent sector hospital pharmacy department.
