Maintenance Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Huntsman in Duxford, Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing reactive and proactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime at our production site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
• Conduct fault-finding and repairs on machinery and equipment, using specialized tools and techniques.
• Work with the maintenance team leader to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Engineering Department to maximize efficiency and improve processes.
• Participate in EHS audits and training to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• A minimum of City & Guilds part 2/NVQ level three qualifications in a relevant trade or technical field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, preferably in the chemical sector or equivalent.
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems, such as SAP.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, including DSEAR/ATEX and Pressure Systems.
• A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical circuits.
