Job Overview
  • This role involves teaching physics to secondary school students, developing and implementing a well-structured curriculum that covers key concepts and skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the national curriculum and examination requirements, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

We estimate this role comes with a salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging physics lessons to secondary school students.
  • Develop and implement a well-structured curriculum that covers key physics concepts and skills.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress regularly to provide feedback and support individual learning needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages mutual respect and cooperation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events to support student development and communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching physics at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to address diverse learning needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and up-to-date knowledge of educational practices and trends.
