Senior Nursery Practitioner

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to lead our team of childcare professionals at Sutton Day Nursery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for children aged 0-5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of nursery practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
- Plan and participate in group-led activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children.
- Develop warm relationships with children and families to support their learning and development.
- Structure daily and weekly activities to ensure children receive a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Ensure observations and framework milestones are met to support children's progress.
- Involve parents and carers in their child's progress through regular communication and review meetings.
- Support and value each child's home culture and language to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Contribute to the provision of a stimulating and secure environment that promotes equal opportunities and diversity.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Child Development or equivalent.
- Experience of working with children under 5 years old and their families.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding issues.
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues and the ability to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
