About the Role

The Group MIS Manager will oversee the management and optimisation of business software systems, including ERP, WMS, and CRM. This involves ensuring alignment with strategic goals and driving innovation through research and implementation of emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and decision-making across the organisation.

Key duties include team management, performance oversight, and professional development, as well as software ownership, compliance, updates, vendor management, and security, adhering to standards like GDPR. Additionally, you will focus on business process improvement, cross-department collaboration, training, and user support, developing analytics and reporting tools, monitoring KPIs, and driving innovation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  2. Experience in software management and vendor management, with experience in ERP, CRM, WMS, and similar systems
  3. In-depth knowledge of software systems and experience managing vendor relationships
  4. Exceptional communication, project management, and team collaboration abilities
  5. Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  6. Expertise in data security practices and managing backup solutions
  7. Advanced understanding of computer hardware, software, protocols, and systems
  8. Extensive experience working with large-scale systems and databases
  9. Comprehensive understanding of data security policies and procedures
  10. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  11. Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  12. Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with strong project management expertise

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management
  • Lead and develop the MIS team to support business software systems effectively.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Set objectives, manage performance, and provide regular feedback.
Software Ownership and Management
  • Oversee business software applications (ERP, WMS, CRM, etc.).
  • Ensure software licensing compliance and manage vendor contracts.
  • Plan and execute timely software updates with minimal downtime.
Business Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with teams to identify efficiency-boosting software solutions.
  • Recommend improvements based on system performance and feedback.
Vendor and Supplier Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with software vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor SLAs for quality and value.
Collaboration and Integration
  • Partner with IT teams to integrate software with infrastructure systems.
  • Align systems with organisational goals and ensure consistent data management.
Security and Data Management
  • Implement and enforce software security policies.
  • Oversee data integrity, backups, and application-level security.
Training and Support
  • Oversee software implementation across group companies.
  • Organise training to ensure effective software use.
  • Ensure data accuracy and accessibility for informed decision-making.
  • Define KPIs and performance metrics aligned with business goals.
Research and Development
  • Research new technologies to maintain a competitive software landscape.

Salary and Benefits:

This position comes with a salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role within our organisation. You will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including 23 days annual leave + bank holidays, option to purchase up to 5 extra days annual leave, Health Cashback Plan, Pension Scheme, Life Assurance, and Free Parking.
