About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bus Electrical Systems Expert to join our team at Bamford Bus Company Limited. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in designing and developing high-voltage control systems for bus electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical control systems for bus body and chassis electrical systems
  • Design and specify electrical hardware components, including fuseboards and switchboxes
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and systems
  • Undertake technical assessments and analysis of components and systems to develop optimal solutions
  • Design and develop CAN communications systems and architecture
  • Provide technical documentation, including wiring schematics and system schedules
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth assembly and installation of electrical systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of wiring harness design and manufacture, electrical control systems hardware design, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
