Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Smiths Detection is a leading provider of detection equipment for various industries, including Defence, Aviation, and Urban Security. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of Smiths Detection and 3rd party equipment into our Digital Networked Solutions. This will involve coordinating and prioritizing engineering and technical activities, as well as implementing solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prioritize engineering and technical activities for Smiths Detection and 3rd party equipment integration
  • Implement solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with Programmes, Product Support, and Technology departments to ensure seamless integration
  • Design and implement test plans, technical documentation, and test cases for functional and performance testing
  • Provide technical support and training to Field Service Engineers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Electronic or Systems Engineering roles
  • Experience with X-ray imaging systems, Automated Tray Return Systems, digital checkpoint solutions, and integrated and automated conveyor systems
  • Sound knowledge of VMware ESX and related technologies
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP, and/or CompTIA certifications desirable
