Key Responsibilities
Menu Knowledge and Restaurant Layout
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our menu, promotions, drinks specifications, restaurant layout, and site-specific working practices. This will enable you to provide expert guidance to guests and ensure a seamless dining experience.
Take Ownership of the Floor
Assume responsibility for the floor, showcasing a proactive and dedicated approach to duties. This involves overseeing tasks, managing responsibilities effectively, performing additional duties assigned by management, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant operations.
Bar Knowledge and Cross-Training
Develop cross-training skills on the bar to provide assistance when needed and support with maintaining high cleaning standards. This will help create a flexible working environment and enhance your skills as a Front of House Server.
Welcoming Guests and Providing Feedback
Assist in welcoming guests to the café and bar, giving them a great first impression that sets the tone for their visit. Provide feedback to managers regarding any guest comments, positive or negative, to enhance overall service quality.
Adhering to Allergy Procedures and Legislation Guidelines
Adhere to Bill's Allergy procedures and legislation guidelines at all times, ensuring the safety of guests with allergies and dietary requirements.
Staying Informed and Maintaining Cleanliness
Keep informed of all company and restaurant-specific updates by attending meetings or utilizing other communication channels. Diligently maintain cleanliness in all front-of-house areas, including regular checks on guest toilets, to present all indoor and outdoor restaurant areas in the best possible way.
Learning and Demonstrating Correct Procedures
Exhibit a commitment to continuous learning and adherence to correct procedures and operating systems. This includes staying informed about Bill's specific protocols and incorporating safe working practices into daily responsibilities.
Collaborating with the Restaurant Team
Work closely with the entire restaurant team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. This involves effective communication and cooperation to create a harmonious restaurant atmosphere.
Monitoring Food and Drinks Timings and Specifications
Closely monitor the timing and quality of food and beverages, promptly notifying managers of any potential issues or concerns.
Completing Training Requirements
Take responsibility for completing all mandatory and job-specific training to perform tasks safely and correctly. Engage proactively in continuous learning to enhance job knowledge and contribute to a safe and efficient workplace. Assist with training new employees as needed.
Prioritizing Guest Service
Prioritize guest service at all times, following guest service steps, and maintaining a positive attitude with a friendly smile.
Efficient Opening and Closing Duties
Maintain efficiency by completing all opening and closing duties for the restaurant meticulously. This ensures a smooth start and end to each day's operations, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
