About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at APEX APPOINT LTD. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment, including electrical installations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify and address production priorities and safety risks.
  • Oversee contractor activities and ensure compliance with company procedures and good manufacturing practices.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, testing, and adjustments to identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Communicate with the management team regarding engineering issues and repair timelines.
  • Develop and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Recognized engineering/electrical qualifications.
  • Awareness of food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Systematic approach to problem-solving with ability to challenge existing practices.
  • Willingness to continuously develop work-related skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible attitude towards all aspects of the role.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage conflicting demands, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of £40,000 - £48,500 per year.
  • A 4-day on, 4-day off schedule with rotating day and night shifts.
