Sionic Energy is a pioneering energy storage technology company pushing the boundaries of Li-ion battery innovation. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Battery Scientist to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of our silicon anode and electrolyte innovations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrolyte formulations to meet customer requirements for conventional and next-gen Li-ion battery chemistries.
- Conduct experiments on prototype cells, including electrochemical testing, abuse tests, and cell teardowns.
- Develop and implement new techniques to advance research and development goals.
- At least 5 years of experience in the Li-ion battery field, with a focus on novel materials in next-generation chemistries.
- Strong background in electrolyte characterization and implementation.
- Knowledge of cell lithium-ion battery materials, components, performance, cell testing/data analysis, and failure modes.
- Proficiency in electrolyte characterization techniques, prototype cell assembly, electrochemical testing techniques, and working in a glovebox or dry room.
