Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Specialist to join our team at Marshall. The successful candidate will have a strong background in control systems engineering, with a focus on developing fault detection and diagnostic algorithms, health management strategies, and fault-tolerant system designs for complex systems.

About the Role

The Hydrogen Fuel Systems Engineer will be instrumental in the development and implementation of novel control strategies for a Liquid Hydrogen Fuel System. This role involves creating innovative control algorithms, ensuring system stability, efficiency, and safety.

The Advanced Control Solutions Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced control solutions, fostering the continuous improvement of the fuel system's performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced control strategies for the Liquid Hydrogen Fuel System, focusing on stability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Design and develop sophisticated fault detection and diagnostic algorithms, enabling proactive responses to potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine control strategies based on real-world performance data and operational requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of control feedback and collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements and optimize system behaviour.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on developing fault detection and diagnostic algorithms, health management strategies, and fault-tolerant system designs for complex systems.
  • Strong programming skills in languages for real-time control applications, including MATLAB, Simulink, and Siemens Capital software.
  • Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and feedback control mechanisms used in industrial applications.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 per annum, plus benefits including 27 days holiday increasing with service up to 30 days, pension contributions up to 9%, private medical insurance, and access to industry-leading wellbeing resources and tools.
