Senior Contracts Lawyer Opportunity

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Lawyer to join their growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the development of leading practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly line managing 1 Contracts Lawyer and 1 Legal Assistant.
  • Working with senior management team.
  • Deputising for the Principal Lawyer and supporting Lawyers in the team.
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Advising on all aspects of public procurement.
  • Dealing with funding and grant agreements.
  • Providing advice to a range of stakeholders.
  • Advising on complex/multi-million pound projects.

Requirements:
