Job Overview:

Kenton Black Ltd, a reputable civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team based in the Dudley area.

About the Role:

  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all payroll functions, including pensions, for approximately 300 employees across 5 companies.
  2. Payment of sole trader invoices to external contracts for around 300 subcontractors will also be a key responsibility.
  3. Ensuring timely and accurate submission of RTI, FPS, and EPS to HMRC, as well as making PAYE payments on time and correctly, is crucial to avoid fines.
  4. The ideal candidate will manage year-end payroll duties such as P60's and P11d's, assist the finance team with associated audits, and maintain company mileage and car administration.
  5. Maintaining the company pension schemes, applying tax code notifications, and administering payroll systems and HR files are also essential tasks.
  6. Liaising with other departments regarding new starters, leavers, holidays, and pay rate changes will be necessary.
  7. The selected candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of HR & Payroll processes, documents, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solid payroll experience, certified or qualified by experience, is required.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel, are necessary.
  • The ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality is crucial.

Requirements:

A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered for this challenging role.
