Defense Education Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated Defense Education Instructor to join our team at the Ministry of Defence. As a Defense Education Instructor, you will play a key role in developing and delivering training programs designed to equip RAF personnel with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

About the Position:

  • You will participate in the development of training programs designed to transform RAF personnel into competent and inspired electrical general engineering technicians.
  • You will ensure all students are given a safety brief on their training environment and observe relevant fire, health and safety precautions and evacuation procedures.
  • You will make an active contribution to the Continuous Improvement of the School and its outputs by proactively highlighting potential improvements through the Training Squadron line management chain.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have served an apprenticeship or a relevant period of training and have obtained a Level 3, or equivalent, engineering qualification with practical experience in a related field.
  • Sit an electrical engineering trade multiple-choice examination paper from the appropriate TG5 electrical engineering syllabus.

Benefits: £34,300 per annum (including a Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £6,000), with a Civil Service Pension contribution of £7,641 per annum.
