Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Talent Development Manager to join our team at Direct Line Insurance Group plc. This exciting opportunity will allow you to drive the development of our leadership and talent strategy, ensuring we have the right people with the right skills to achieve our business goals.

About the Role:

  • In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Talent to design and deliver strategies that identify, manage, and develop leaders and talent across the organization.
  • You will be responsible for embedding and executing leadership and talent strategies across the business, working through Executive Committee (ExCo), Enterprise Leaders Network (ELN), and people managers.
  • Additionally, you will lead partnerships with external assessment and leadership development vendors to deliver impactful development interventions and selection assessments for leaders and talent.
  • Supporting the development and execution of a DLG-wide assessment strategy is also a key aspect of this role, as well as implementing and embedding a robust Leadership Capability model across all HR practices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive key talent identification, management, and development initiatives across the business, collaborating with HR and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate documentation and delivery of outcomes.
  • Develop and execute a succession planning and development strategy that ensures the continued growth and development of our leaders and talent.
  • In partnership with the Head of Talent, co-design and deploy progressive initiatives and programs within the leadership and talent plan, directly and in partnership with wider HR teams.
  • Understand business and market needs, leveraging data and insights to translate them into executable and impactful leadership and talent practices.
  • Maintain accurate leadership reporting and support in reporting and analysis across the Leadership, Talent, Early Careers, and D&I team.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience in talent, culture, and leadership methodologies, strategies, and tools with successful implementation and demonstrable results.
  • Evidence of supporting or leading the delivery of a talent and leadership agenda across a business with effective means to measure behavior change and business benefits.
  • Ability to influence, consult, and manage key stakeholders to deliver on the talent and leadership agenda, driving interventions that work across business areas and deliver business impact.

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of approximately £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
