Synthetic Chemist Specialist

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly skilled Synthetic Chemist Specialist to join our team at Freudenberg Group. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for independently running and documenting laboratory studies to support R&D projects and department goals.

• You will support with general manufacturing trials, including transfer trials, to ensure the quality and efficiency of our products.
• Validation activities, such as product, process, software, and test method validation, will also be a key responsibility.
• You will prepare samples for new and existing customers in a timely manner to support sales activities and growth opportunities.
• Create work instructions and risk assessments for new equipment/processes to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Maintain the laboratory in good working conditions, advising the R&D Manager of stock levels and maintenance needs.
• Manage routine technical activities, including COSHH, to identify hazards and assess risks from substances in the workplace.
• Support the creation of risk assessment documents, such as ISO 14971 and dFMEA.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science, and at least 1 year of industrial experience in technical product development.
