Adult Social Care Lawyer Opportunity

Sellick Partnership is proud to support a Local Authority in Essex with the recruitment of a permanent Adult Social Care Lawyer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive to join the friendly and supportive Legal Services team on a hybrid working basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and submitting applications to the Court of Protection and High Court, including COP applications and judicial reviews.
  • Providing expert advice on the Council's responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and associated Regulations and Statutory Guidance.
  • Offering legal support and guidance across various areas, including ordinary residence, Data Protection, and safeguarding.
  • Advising Service Managers and Directors on Adult Social Care policy and procedure.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with prior experience in Adult Social Care.

About the Role:

This Adult Social Care Lawyer will play a vital role in supporting the Legal Services team and contributing to the delivery of high-quality legal services to the Local Authority.
