Job Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Construction SHE Specialist to join our team at Stride.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe planning, delivery, and review of complex construction and maintenance projects in North Yorkshire.

  • Hold a NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
  • Have experience in the construction industry, particularly in residential construction or Tier 1 contracting.
  • Be a member of a professional body, progressing to Chartered status.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, implementing policies to reduce risk and support a positive SHE culture, and promoting our SHE approach through site visits and meetings.

  • Support the implementation of ActivSHEQ database and other SHE standards.
  • Conduct formal and informal site SHE reviews.
  • Provide safety, health, and environmental guidance and training.
  • Investigate and report SHE incidents, ensuring recommendations are implemented.
  • Communicate effectively with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
