Job Title: SEN Tutor

Description:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to deliver bespoke tuition packages to young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who cannot access mainstream education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and be able to create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in their education and boost attainment levels.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver 1:1 tuition to young people with SEN
* Create and plan tailored lessons to meet individual needs
* Monitor progress and submit weekly reports

Requirements:

* QTS or equivalent
* UK classroom teaching experience
* PECS/Makaton training preferred
* Ability to work with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils

Contract Details:

* Contract type: Temporary
* Full-time/part-time: Part-time (minimum 10 hours per week)
* Minimum rate of pay: £25 per hour (negotiable)

Eligibility:

* Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate
* Two professional child-related references
