Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facade Engineer to lead our technical delivery of facade design and consultancy services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with architects, owners, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality facade solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical delivery of facade design and consultancy services
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other project participants, including architects, owners, consultants, and contractors
  • Produce reports, sketches, drawings, and technical deliverables at each project stage
  • Write technical specifications and respond to site and construction-related queries
  • Conduct building surveys and lead the production of due diligence reports for building owners
  • Undertake factory visits, site inspections, and witness facade performance testing
  • Review contractors' proposals, conduct tender appraisals, and lead the technical review of specialist contractor detailed design submissions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members
  • Participate in internal technical networks and promote and share facade engineering knowledge with colleagues in different geographical locations
  • Assist with business development activities and prepare fee proposals
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates will need to have facade engineering and design consultancy experience in the United Kingdom
  • The successful candidate will meet the following minimum criteria:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or other relevant design-related discipline
  • A Chartered Engineer or qualified Architect, or be an associate member of a relevant institution who is working toward qualification
  • A minimum of eight years of facade design and engineering experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, report writing, and visual techniques
  • Detailed working knowledge of relevant Building Regulations, BS/EN Standards, CWCT technical guidance, and international standards
  • Thorough understanding of the principles governing the structural behavior and thermal performance of facades and their application in design and construction
  • Extensive familiarity with different facade systems, products, materials, and finishes and their fabrication, assembly, construction, and operation
  • Be eligible and have the right to work in the United Kingdom
