Support Worker for Children with SEMH Needs

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEM Support Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding school in Tower Hamlets. As a SEM Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, improving their communication and social skills, and enhancing their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:- Support small groups of students and provide one-to-one assistance as needed
- Work closely with qualified SEMH professionals, Specialist Teachers, and Educational Psychologists to develop and implement effective support plans
- Provide emotional support and comfort to students with anxiety and/or depression
- Contribute to a warm and welcoming school environment that promotes student wellbeing and academic success
- Minimum First-Class Psychology-related degree from a Top 20 University
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Knowledge of SEMH principles and practices
- Competitive salary of £480-£550 per week, paid weekly on a PAYE basis
