We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud SecOps Engineer to join our team at NatWest. As a Cloud SecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based infrastructure.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain robust security controls and processes to protect our cloud environment from emerging threats. You will work closely with our feature teams to ensure that security is integrated into every stage of the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining security policies and procedures
  • Conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability management
  • Implementing and managing security controls, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring
  • Collaborating with feature teams to ensure security is integrated into every stage of the development lifecycle
  • Providing on-call support for security-related incidents

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with cloud security technologies, including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and regulations, including GDPR and PCI-DSS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems, such as GitLab
