Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

Cherry Professional are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their client's team. This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive salary of up to £55,000.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Agree final accounts in a timely manner after project completion.
  • Manage and control variations, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Monitor and apply for retention releases.
  • Maximize profitability through effective cost planning and commercial management.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on the role's skills and experiences.
  • Cost planning and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and finalize costs, preparing quotations for clients.
  • Liaise with the Sales team to provide consultation and guidance on project feasibility.
  • Identify and report project risks, advising on dispute resolution.
  • Liaise with the Operations Team on commercial matters.
  • Submit interim valuations and payment assessments within the required timeframe.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum HNC in a construction-related subject.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction or a related industry.
  • Understanding of data confidentiality.
  • Reliable individual with leadership skills.
  • Adaptable with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Systematic approach with the ability to follow processes.
  • Data analysis skills.
