Primary SEND Teaching Assistant

£14.20 per hour (dependent on role, experience, qualifications, and skills)

Location: Kirklees, West Yorkshire

We are seeking adaptable and resourceful individuals to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across Kirklees.

This role plays a pivotal part in helping pupils succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to assigned pupils with special educational needs (SEND).
  • Create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment to promote social and academic development.
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes.
Requirements
  • Recent experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally on a one-to-one basis.
  • Possess a passion for supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Build strong working relationships with children and staff.
  • Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in education or a related field.
  • Possess a Team-Teach qualification or manual handling training (desirable but not essential).
