About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transaction Services Director to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our advisory team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality services to our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the business world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale client engagements, overseeing project scope, resourcing, and progress against budget and timeframe.
  • Develop and review analysis in Excel, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and develop junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
  • Contribute to the development of new service streams and practices, working closely with partners and directors.
  • Liaise with clients on risk management, progress, and monitoring information flows, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Ensure client feedback is captured, addressed, and communicated effectively to project managers and directors.
  • Identify and recognize new project and business opportunities, informing project directors and partners as necessary.
  • Support the conversion of opportunities into chargeable work, participating in pitches and presentations.
  • Act as an ambassador for the firm, participating in marketing events and staying up-to-date with the firm's services and offerings.
  • Support the recruitment, retention, motivation, and learning and development of the Transaction Services team, serving as a role model for junior staff.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with relevant work experience.
  • Proven staff supervision or management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • A proactive approach to continuous development, with a willingness to learn and grow.
