About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Retail. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Pet Care Centre, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of retail professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store, including stock control, recruitment, and store standards.
  • Take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager.
  • Lead from the front with a hands-on approach, inspiring your team to deliver high standards and great results.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and performance across all primary KPIs.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that our customers receive a world-class experience.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months hands-on supervisory/management experience in a retail environment.
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Passionate about retail and committed to delivering high standards and great results.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and inspire your team.
  • Willingness to take on 6 months of industry-leading training, covering key aspects of the role, including customer service, health and safety, and pet care.
