Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Tozer Associates. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering electrical building services projects across Lancashire County Council's Asset Management Service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and specifying electrical building services, including LV distribution, power, small power, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, nurse call, lightning protection, and controls.
  • Leading the project management and delivery of electrical building service related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget to the quality expectations of LCC.
  • Supporting the Electrical Teams Project Manager in the effective delivery of all building service related projects.
  • Managing external consultants in the delivery of projects, ensuring KPIs are met and quality is maintained.
  • Providing specialist advice and guidance to internal and external customers, making technical and professional recommendations within the electrical discipline.

You will work closely with other members of the Building Design Team and across the Council's other disciplines, working within well-established professional procedures and defined Council policies.
